Pennant

I'm as happy as the next person the Yankees won the Pennant, but I have to ask what was going wrong with the Angels? The bottom of the 8th was full of ridiculous mistakes and to be honest, they didn't look very accidental to me. First, when fist baseman missed a catch of a bunt he was holding his glove wrong for that angle. Then watching the pitcher lobbing the ball over the head of the first baseman only to fire it perfectly when Derek Jeter made his hit- I'm sorry they lost but how they lost bugs me more.

Goal Post #20 follow-up Turns out, vacation and a family wedding are not great for re-establishing routine. With that said, I still managed to do yoga and planks more than I expected. The discouraging news is I ended up doing about as many planks and yoga sessions in October as September. The encouraging news is I walked and biked more this month than September, so while the goal wasn't officially reached, overall I moved more and that's a good thing.      so close!

My personal truth about cats and dogs

First, that movie was great. Granted, I haven't watched it more than once approximately twenty years ago so it might be deeply problematic. But what I remember about it is great.  Janeane  Garofalo ? Great! Uma Thurman? Great? The phone sex scene? GREAT! The premise that an intelligent, witty, short, dark-haired woman would be so insecure that she would hire a tall blond woman to pretend to be her on a blind date? Not so great. Because it was too obvious, not because the flaw in our society didn't exist. Thank goodness nerds became cool.  Second, I'm not a cat or a dog person. Both are spectacular and I love them equally. They have contributed to human civilization in ways we are only beginning to recognize. Plus both are soft and cuddly. Seriously, what more can you ask for in a pet?
